We will be visiting WDW for the first time in April 09 and staying at the Pop Century, however are plane doesnt arrive until 7pm, will we still have time to visit downtown disney after we check into the resort?

Most of the shops and restaurants at Downtown Disney are open until 11:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and until 11:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.

You don't say how you're getting to the Pop Century or whether you'll have checked luggage you need to wait for. Depending on your answers to these questions, you could be arriving at the Pop anywhere from about 8:00 to 9:00 pm, assuming your flight is on time. Then you'll have to check in and get settled in your room. It would probably take you half an hour or more to get to Downtown Disney. Depending on how things go, it is possible that you could get a tiny bit of time in at DD, but I personally would be too beat from a day of travel to venture out for such a limited amount of time. My strategy would be to explore the resort, maybe take a quick dip in the pool, and then get in bed. This will leave you relaxed and refreshed enough to get up early for a full day of touring.
