We will be visiting WDW in a few days with our 2-year-old grandchild. Can you tell me if we will be charged the same amount as an adult (buffet meal) if we decide to book a character meal experience for our little one?

    Hi Sharon,

Hooray for a visit to Walt Disney World with your grandchild! My girls loved visiting with their grandparents and they had such great memories of those adventures!

There is two tiered pricing at a buffet whether there are characters or not. One is for guest 3-9 and one for guests 9 and older. Disney recognizes that younger guests do not eat as much and charge accordingly. In addition, your two year old can share a plate with you and you will not be charged. Disney will ask for the number of guests and ages in your party. This will then tell them how to calculate your bill.

If you are dining at a non-buffet table service restaurant, you will not be charged if your grandchild shares your meal. If you order a separate meal, then you would be charged.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
