Hello there, Susanne! Welcome to the wonderful world of planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
That is quite some experience you have visiting Walt Disney World Resort and, if I had to imagine, a lifetime of wonderful memories with your family you’ve made! As someone that also typically visits with my family, I found solo trips quite intimidating before going on one myself. Now, I feel like it offers a completely different type of experience when compared to trips with my family!
As you may have guessed, choosing the least busy time to visit Walt Disney World Resort can be a bit tricky! This is particularly true given the unusual circumstances presented over the last year! That being said, there is a good amount of information based on historic observations that may assist you in choosing your travel dates.
Typically, some of the busiest times of the year are around holidays. So, you may want to avoid the big holidays such as
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. While the more “minor” holidays are also busy, these tend to take the cake as far as crowds go! It is also likely that crowds will be quite heavy the last week of September and throughout October due to the 50th-anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort beginning October 1st, 2021. Fortunately, though, if you visit within the next 18 months, you will be able to experience the fun of
The World’s Most Magical Celebration!
My most favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort to avoid crowds would be the beginning of December and throughout February. Both of these months have the best weather and, typically, are relatively calm crowd-wise. However, I do recommend taking a peek at all of the
special offerings going on throughout the year and basing your decision on which season appeals to you the most!
I hope this information assists you in choosing your travel dates for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Please let us know if we can provide any additional assistance!
