We are visiting WDW during Thanksgiving '08,and staying at Port Orleans, Riverside, where does the panel suggest we celebrate a traditional Thanksgiving meal at on the resort?

I will be celebrating Thanksgiving at WDW for the first time this year and did quite a bit of research on this. A great source of information for you is on the website wdwinfo.com. Search there for an article called Thanksgiving at Disney World. The information there now is for 2007, but it will give you a good idea of what to expect this year. You'll find that just about every restaurant at WDW, from the value resort food courts right on up to the signature dining venues will have some sort of holiday modification to their menu. If you want turkey and the trimmings, you'll be able to find it with no problem at all.

Your choice of restaurant will depend on a few things:

    - Your budget. Those signature meals are going to be quite a bit more expensive than the food courts.
    - Your mood. Do you want elegant? Try for Artist Point or the Brown Derby. Do you want classic colonial? Try for the Liberty Tree Tavern? Do you want a homey atmosphere? Try the 50s Prime Time Cafe.
    - Availability. Frankly, this may be your biggest issue. I made my Thanksgiving dinner reservations several weeks ago and was not able to get exactly the meal that I wanted because other guests had reserved it first.

After you take a look at that wdwinfo site, I would get on the phone with Disney Dining TODAY at 407-WDW-DINE to see what's still available in your preference list.

Have a great trip and be sure to say "hi" if you see me in the parks.
