We are visiting WDW Dec. 31-Jan. 7. Out of curiosity, is the Park Hopper subject to park capacity? If I reserved Epcot on New Year's Day, and want to go to Magic Kingdom that is full for regular park reservations, would I still be able to get in?

Hi Juliann! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

Just a few more weeks and you'll be heading down for a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort! I truly love visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth at any time of year, but for some reason, the beautiful decorations and festive celebrations always make the holiday season even more special.

As you know, right now all Guests need both a valid Theme Park Ticket as well as a Theme Park Reservation to enter their first Park of the day.  Guests are able to come and go from the Park they hold a reservation for as they please.  While it is rare for a Park to hit capacity, you are visiting on some of the busiest days of the year, so I can't make any guarantees that Park Hopping will be available at each and every Theme Park.

If you hold a Park Hopper Option Theme Park Ticket and plan to "hop" to another Park after 2 p.m. just be aware that Park Hopping is subject to capacity limitations and some Parks may be unavailable that day.  If some Theme Parks do reach capacity before or during Park Hopper hours you will be notified with a real-time notification on your My Disney Experience mobile app.

It would definitely be in your best interest to plan any Advance Dining Reservations like Character Dining Experiences in the Park that you hold a Reservation for.  This way you won't miss out on any must-do in-Park experiences!

    Enjoy every magical moment!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
