Hi- We will be visiting WDW in August. My daughter (6) is really looking forward to taking a pony ride at FW. I don't want her to miss out so my question is- do I need to (or can I) make advanced reservations for this activity? Thanks!

The pony rides at Fort Wilderness are first come, first served. They cannot be reserved in advance. The pony rides take place at the former site of the petting zoo near Pioneer Hall. Here's some other info you may find helpful:

    - Prices can change, but currently the pony rides are $5 each, cash only
    - An adult must be present to lead the pony around
    - Riders must be between 2 - 8 years old and no more than 80 pounds
    - Hours are 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

For older children, and adults, there is a real horseback riding experience available at the Tri-Circle D Ranch, also at Fort Wilderness. You can find out more about this by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.
