Hello! We'll be visiting WDW in April and I'm still confused as to how to get in to the actual park. I have purchased tickets and have made the online reservation. Do we need a Key to the World card? Or do we just go up and scan the email barcode?

    Hi Karissa,

Great question and I am happy to help. First, if you have not already done so make a My Disney Experience profile and download the mobile app. This handy-dandy tool is your Walt Disney World vacation hub. Here you can access your tickets, cancel and modify Disney Park Pass reservations, check Theme Park hours and availability, find wait-times for your favorite attractions, reserve dining reservations, make mobile-food orders, play games in the Parks and that’s just the shortlist. Become comfortable navigating both the web version and the mobile app before your arrival.

Your Walt Disney World tickets can be linked to your My Disney Experience and assigned to those Guests who will be traveling with you. You will need your Wil Call Confirmation # or 12-digit Ticket Number for each ticket. Simply sign in to your My Disney Experience, select My Plans, highlight Park Tickets and select Link Tickets. You will then follow the prompts to finish the process and if you have pre-existing MagicBands they will be assigned to the MagicBands. To enter the Walt Disney World Theme Parks all you will need to do is scan your MagicBand at the entrance.

If you do not have MagicBands, Hakuna Matta. Before entering your first Walt Disney World Theme park, visit the Guest Concierge/Park Ticket Counter located close to the entrances.  A Cast Member can either check your My Disney Experience profile or if you have your reservation email, with the barcode, scan it and assign Keys to the World cards to you and your Guests. These hard tickets will be used for the entirety of your stay so keep them in a safe place.

Stay up to date by reading the Know Before You Go and check out the Disney Parks Blog for all things new and returning. Welcome Back to the Magic and may your stay be filled with many memorable and pixie-dusted moments.

Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
