When visiting the waterparks, where do leave your shoes/sunglasses/sunhats etc when going on the waterslides? Are there also plenty of places to sit and relax if the kids (7&9) need a rest?

    Hi Kelly,

When it comes to splish-splashing at the Walt Disney World Resorts Water Parks, you're diving into a sea of fun! With the warm summer sun shining down, it's the perfect time to ride the waves at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Right now, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is making waves as it's the star of the show.

Imagine tackling the thrill of Crush 'n' Gusher and zipping and zooming through twisting water slides with your kids by your side, it’s an amazing way to spend the day. And picture this: you're bobbing up and down in the massive Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, feeling like you're riding the high seas. We always choose to spend at least one day of our holiday at the Water Parks. They are a great way to recharge from the Theme Parks.

Now, let's talk logistics. As you gear up for a day of aqua adventures, remember that Lockers are your best friend for safeguarding your valuables while you make a splash. Lockers are available to rent but if it’s busy, they may fill up throughout the day.

Personally, I'm all about securing a shady spot early on for my crew. While there's no guarantee of finding shade, there are plenty of spots to kick back and relax throughout the day. While sitting right near the wave pool sounds perfect, I recommend trying to find a nice area tucked away where it is less crowded. You can ask a Cast Member to point you in the direction of their favorite hidden gem of a spot.

As for stashing your stuff while you ride those exhilarating slides, I usually leave our shoes and cover-ups on our chairs, but anything valuable gets tucked away in a locker. And hey, if you're feeling extra fancy, you can always splurge on a cabana for the day to up the relaxation factor.

Pro tip: If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you're in luck! You can snag towels for free to dry off after all the water play.

So, get ready to make a splash and soak up every moment of your Disney Water Park adventure.

Wishing you and your family a day filled with laughter, thrills, and plenty of water-soaked memories!
