Good morning! I have an upcoming stay at an AK KL villa as a DVC member. I see that the villas have a full kitchen. What equipment can I expect to find in the kitchen? Is dish soap included, or will I have to run to the store? Thanks so much!

    Hello Samantha, welcome to planDisney!

It’s so lovely to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member about one of my Home Resorts, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. Did you know that Kidani is home to over 30 species of African wildlife? My family loves sitting on the balcony or heading to the Savanna Overlook to check out the animals and see how many we can find.

One of the things I love most about Disney Vacation Club Villas is the kitchenette/kitchen (varies depending on the size of accommodations). Having access to a full kitchen while on vacation simplifies things for my family, especially since when we are visiting Walt Disney World Resort, we like to make a quick breakfast in the Villa early in the morning and then head to the theme parks for rope drop. The 1-Bdr Villas at Kidani come with a full kitchen that is stocked with: dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, microwave, toaster, stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker (drip-style) and a dishwasher. There is also a sponge, dishcloth and dish soap provided. If you need any more dishwasher soap tabs or dish soap, you can make the request with “Hey Disney!” right from your Villa!

If you want to take a break from making a meal in your room, I highly recommend ordering the infamous bread service from Sanaa or if you’re short on time, you can Mobile order the bread service from Sanaa To Go! (Can you tell I love the Indian-style Bread Service?). Sanaa also offers a fantastic breakfast menu (Quick Service) that is worth checking out daily between 7:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

Samantha, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. If you think of any more questions, please let me know! I’m happy to help.

    Cheers,
    Candace
