Hi we will be visiting Walt Disney World in Dec, the 4th to the 10th to be exact. Our daughters will be 4 (almost 5) and just 3 at the time. What kind of itineray would you suggest? We will have a 6 day base ticket. Will they enjoy all th e parks or not?

    Hi Beth,

I think your daughters will find something to love at all of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. I know my daughters did (and still do) at that age.

I would plan on not going to Magic Kingdom first. This place is so magical and more traditional in amusement parks that your girls may lose the fun of the other parks. Here is my itinerary from a trip when my girls were that age:

    EPCOT
    Disney's Hollywood Studios
    Magic Kingdom
    EPCOT
    Animal Kingdom
    Magic Kingdom

This gives you a good combination of long days (EPCOT and Magic Kingdom) with short days (Animal Kingdom closes early) or less walking (Disney's Hollywood Studios has shows so you sit a lot).

You can adjust the days to meet your needs such as you want to see Fantasmic! and it is not available on day 2.

You can also use the short days to go to the pool or shopping at Downtown Disney.

At this age, I would not add the Park Hopper or Water Parks and More option because you will have more than enough to see at the parks. Use the extra money to upgrade to a resort on the monorail or uses boats to reduce your time on the buses or purchase the Disney Dining Plan.

Finally, stick to a schedule that works for you so you can make the most out of your trip.

    Have a magical vacation!
