We are visiting the US and Disney for the first time late this year. We will be visiting other places in Orlando around Disney and need some suggestions on accommodation to suit a family of 4 with two teens including coeliac dining needs.

G'day, Vivienne, and welcome to planDisney! Planning your very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation can be an exhilarating, and sometimes overwhelming, journey - no worries, we're here to help!

When choosing a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, I like to think mostly about the location and the theme. Each Disney hotel features thoughtful theming that will surround you with magic from the moment you step inside - the details you'll see from the lobby to your room, from the onsite restaurants to the pool, are all perfectly designed to immerse you in a whole new world. Consider your family's unique personality and interests, and choose a hotel that suits your vacation vibe. My family has had so many incredible Disney hotel experiences, and here are a few that I think you might love:

    • Disney's Wilderness Lodge - this resort boasts close proximity to Magic Kingdom Park and fun transportation options, incredible dining locations, waterfront views of fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant, and beautiful grounds that you could explore for hours
    • Disney's Beach Club Resort - just steps from the entrance to EPCOT and Disney Skyliner and boat transportation, this resort is known for its relaxing, yet elevated, beachy aesthetic and sand-bottom pool with gigantic water slide, fun dining options, and beautiful details at every turn
    • Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter - you'll feel transported to beautiful New Orleans, just like Princess Tiana, at this gorgeous resort that features delicious dining, quick access to Disney Springs, and a great Mardi Gras-themed pool
Staying at a Disney hotel is so much more than thoughtful theming - you'll enjoy complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort via bus, Monorail, Skyliner, and boats, daily Early Theme Park Entry (beat the crowds and the heat), the opportunity to use a dining plan (my favorite way to save money and stay in the moment), and you'll be just minutes from the Disney Theme Parks. You can't go wrong with any of the amazing options!

Walt Disney World Resort is exceptional at accommodating guests with dietary restrictions. Allergy-friendly menus are available at table service restaurants, and ingredient lists are available for most items. Helpful Cast Members, servers, and chefs are always available and happy to chat with you about your needs. When you place a Mobile Food & Beverage Order on the My Disney Experience Mobile App, you'll see a special section for Allergy-Friendly items to help make your selection process even more convenient.

Vivienne, I hope this is helpful to you! Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have, and be sure to check out our helpful planning resources!

    See you real soon!
