Where do I leave a backpack when going on rides?

    Hi there!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question! I usually bring a backpack to carry my reusable water bottle, rechargeable batteries, snacks, and rain gear when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. I like quickly accessing everything I need no matter where I am in the parks!

On most attractions and experiences, I place my backpack on the floor underneath my legs. I also slide a leg through one of the straps to keep it extra secure. Losing something on an attraction is one of my greatest fears! For smaller items, like a cell phone or a Mickey Mouse Ear Headband, I use the little mesh pouch attached to the seats of many high-thrill attractions. Just don't forget to grab your stuff before you exit the ride!

A few attractions have lockers available in the queue. Complimentary lockers can be found at TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom. Wearing a backpack while entering the grid would slow you down! Over in Animal Kingdom Theme Park, I suggest using the complimentary lockers in Kali River Rapids if you want your backpack to stay dry! Another option is to wear a poncho and put your backpack underneath it, but it may still get wet. Avatar Flight of Passage also has bins where you can store your gear.

Locker rentals are also available at the entrance of each theme park if you would prefer to drop off your backpack for part of the day. There are three different locker sizes, and you can pay for the rental with cash (U.S. currency), a major credit card, a MagicBand, MagicBand+, or a Disney Gift Card.

I hope your trip to Walt Disney World is full of wonder and joy! If you have additional questions, please reach out to us again!

Wishing you a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
    Jen
