Hi, Visiting 11/26-11/30. Is there a treelighting ceremony at the different parks each evening? If so, what times do they usually take palce?

    Hi Karen!
Visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday season is my favorite time to visit!  The theme parks are full of holiday cheer, and the resorts are all decorated beautifully.  You really get a sense of the holiday spirit, and of course, a little pixie dust!
In previous years, there was a tree lighting ceremony at Epcot, accompanied by a ten minute show.  It was not performed in 2010, nor in 2011.  There is little hope of it returning for 2012, but one never knows.
As for Magic Kingdom, there is a Castle lighting ceremony held each day, usually around dusk/six pm.  As for their tree lighting ceremony, it is usually held most nights on Main Street U.S.A.
These are the only tree lighting events that occur or have occurred at the theme parks.
For more up to date information, consult your Times Guide on the day in which you are visiting these parks, as plans may change.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Malanie, New York

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
