    We're visiting soon for our 8th time and are opting not to get DDp.. I have a picky teen who can always find something on the children's menu but has no interests in most adult menu's. If we don't get the plan and pay OOP can he order off the kids menu?

    Hi there Katie!

    How exciting to be returning to the Walt Disney World Resort for your 8th visit!  As a mom of a picky eater myself, I can completely understand your concern. Although I have always found our servers at Table-Service restaurants to be very accommodating with special requests, it really is up to each dining location.

    Last November, I enjoyed a lovely dinner with a group of friends at California Grill.  Because we didn't want to get overly full before the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, three of us asked if we could order one of the Kids' Mickey Check Meals as our entree. Our server did not have any problems with our requests. When vacationing with my teenage children, they have also been allowed to order off the children's menu. If your teenager has a hearty appetite but prefers the selections on the children's menu, your server may also be able to have the chef prepare an adult-sized portion of that item. At buffet and all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations, your teen would be charged the adult price.
