Rebekah,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Yes, you can take an Uber or Lyft to
Disney's BoardWalk, even if you are not staying there, or dining with a table service restaurant reservation. Disney does require a dining reservation for guests driving their own car, with the intent of parking. But if you are just being dropped off, you should not have a problem. I have done exactly that before.
Now I will confess I am a bit of an ice cream fanatic. A visit to the
BoardWalk Ice Cream shop is never a bad idea! It is my favorite dessert, by a wide margin. However, opening soon will be a new place to take care of your sweet tooth. Sometime in 2023, Disney's BoardWalk will welcome a new haven for sweet treats, the
Cake Bake Shop Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers. I happen to live just minutes away from one of her shops here in Indiana, and it is a delicious indulgence. Stop by if you can!
BONUS TIPWhile I love a stroll along the BoardWalk, the sail is pretty nice too. The
Friendship Boats can also replace that 1/3 of a mile walk (1/2 km) with a leisurely ride on Crescent Lake that will also drop you off right at the International Gateway to EPCOT.
