Visiting when my son will be a week shy of three. Do you have a specific model of an umbrella/lightweight stroller that is comfortable?

Hi, Alyssa!  What type of stroller is going to be best for your family is kind of a personal choice question.  There are a number of lightweight strollers available, but how much you want to invest, how much your child weighs, how long you intend to use it - all of that comes into play when selecting the best stroller.

I always look for long term value, and because we visit Walt Disney World so frequently, I would want a stroller that I could use for multiple visits, as my little one grew.  MacLaren makes a 9 pound stroller that will hold a child of up to 55 pounds, which is the top end for lightweight strollers.  It comes with storage underneath, a sun shade, and a cover to put over it when it rains, plus it has a five point harness, which adds to the safety factor.  This stroller is pricey at just over $100, but is durable and will last longer because of the higher weight limit.

Another great lightweight stroller at the opposite end of the price scale is made by Kolcraft.  For around $40, this one has a padded reclining seat - which can come in really handy while touring the theme parks - plus a cup holder and a gear bag for Mom's things.  There is also a sun shade on this model, but the weight limit is 35 pounds.  The stroller itself weighs in at about 11 pounds.  This is a really nice stroller, with a wider and more comfortable seat than just about any other umbrella stroller I've come across.

You will find the Kolcraft strollers available for sale at Walt Disney World, so you don't even have to buy ahead of time!

    Have a wonderful vacation!
