We will be visiting for a short 4 day/3 night trip in mid December and I just have too see the castle lights. Arrival day is a non party day so should we go too MK and spend the rest of the day and evening or wait and go too MVMCP on Friday of our trip?

    Hi Michelle!

YES! OK, I know - while I'd definitely recommend both, that's not very helpful!

For our family, we love visiting the Magic Kingdom on our arrival day. We make sure to do that no matter what time we arrive. The magic of walking down Main Street just sets the tone for our entire vacation! The castle lighting ceremony still draws a gasp and a "AHHH!!!" from me every time I see it. What a magical way to start your vacation off right!

BUT - I'm also a huge fan of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party as well! The special Christmas parade, castle lights, decorations AND snow on Main Street are special touches that make the party wonderful. I especially love the gingerbread scents from the parade floats as they pass by!

So, if both isn't an option - Then I'd have to say to try out Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It is a wonderful and special way to spend the night at Magic Kingdom.

    Hope this helps!
