Bright Suns Jacqueline!
Regular transports are departing soon to
Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu near the Outer Rim of the
Galaxy's Edge. While my transport won’t arrive for a few more months, I too am already planning my visit and looking forward to visiting the
Droid Depot. With four children in our home, a droid could be most helpful.
Interplanetary Guests with a reservation for the Droid Depot will be guaranteed entrance to Galaxy’s Edge one hour before their scheduled time, and you should check-in to the Droid Depot 15 minutes in advance of your build time. Currently, regulations designed to promote an optimal droid building experience state that builders may bring only one additional Guest with them. Younglings under 3, who do not require a park ticket will be allowed to accompany their family into the Droid Depot. As your youngling is 3 years old, he would be considered an extra Guest, and Clerks at the Droid Depot may not allow all of you to enter at once.
I have also heard that the clerks in this shop are known throughout the Galaxy for their outstanding customer service. I would ask such a clerk once you arrive at the Droid Depot if they will make an exception. While this is not a guarantee that they will allow an additional Guest, it is always worthwhile to ask. I would have a back-up plan in place in case one parent and the youngling does not accompany the others into the experience. There is a vibrant marketplace nearby that may interest you. Perhaps a visit to the
Creature Stall if you are considering adopting an exotic pet? I will warn you however, that the First Order is known to patrol this marketplace, so do be cautious at all times.
For the best experience on the planet Batuu and with your droid, be sure to download the
Play Disney Parks Mobile App prior to your visit. This will enable the
Star Wars: Datapad on your mobile device once your transport arrives.
Wishing you a good journey to the planet Batuu!
May the Spires Keep You,
Kate
