We are visiting the parks (Orlando) coming up in Sept to celebrate my sons 3rd birthday. We recently found out that he has gluten and diary allergies. I’ve seen gluten free options , but my question is, is there a G/D free cupcake or dessert in the parks?

    Dear Maria Cristina,

Thank you for bringing us your question! You must be super excited to know you'll be celebrating your child's birthday at the Most Magical Place on Earth. You've chosen well. There is no better place to celebrate a child's birthday than Disney World!

Do not worry about finding gluten-free/diary-free cupcakes, cakes or other foods in general. They will normally have a few options to pull from on demand. If you decide to just walk up to a certain location without a reservation, you can simply request to speak to the Chef. Disney World takes these issues seriously, so rest assured that they will go above and beyond to try and accommodate your request. If you would like to be prepared ahead of time, you may add a note to explain your child's condition when making a dining reservation on the phone.  Be sure to visit this link to learn all the ins and out of special dietary requests. You can also email them in advance at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.

Maria Cristina, I hope this answer is useful in your planning. Please come back with more and more questions, we love to help!

    Wishing the most pixie-dusted vacation,

    ~Desiree

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
