Seasons greeting, Shereka! I'm glad you stopped by planDisney on your way to Walt Disney World Resort.
The holidays are a twinkling, sparkling wonder to behold! If I close my eyes, I can picture Santa winking from his mahogany throne at
Disney Springs.
Disney offers
Disability Access Service (DAS) for guests who have difficulty waiting in traditional standby queues due to conditions such as autism. You can review the information and procedures for
applying for the service; if you think your princess would benefit from DAS, you can request a video call for approval.
While DAS doesn't shorten the time you'll wait for experiences, it allows approved guests to go about their day, grab a snack, or relax until their return window opens. You can usually add a limited number of family members, so please be sure you have contact information for your party when you request the video call.
My tip is to take care of the registration call before you arrive so your visit can start smoothly. If you can't do the video call until you arrive, that's perfectly fine, too. There's no in-person registration, so you'll register from your mobile device once onsite. Feel free to stop by
Guest Relations if you have any problems; they might be able to provide a device and tips for completing the DAS registration process.
You might also find the
information for neurodivergent guests helpful to look over before your visit. You'll find tips on waiting in lines, what to bring, and more.
You and your daughter are going to have a magical time! The holidays bring festive fun at the theme parks, and I hope you have time for the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. My husband and I saw the gingerbread Spaceship Earth last week at CommuniCore Hall, and we enjoyed sampling sweets on the
Holiday Cookie Stroll.
Shereka, I'm wishing on a wintery star that you make many magical memories with your daughter this week. Please continue to let
planDisney help you plan your visits!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
