We will be visiting the parks for 6 days total and I'm looking in at getting a 7 day base tickets. Could i enter a different park on the same day if I'm willing to take a extra day off my base ticket?

This is a very frequently asked question, and unfortunately the answer is no. The base tickets are computer coded so that can not be used at more than one park per day. If you attempt to enter a second park, your ticket will be rejected by the turnstile. If you want to visit more than one park per day, then you need the Park Hopper option. The Park Hopper add-on to a base ticket is flat fee, regardless of the number of ticket days you have purchased. Prices can change, but the current Park Hopper rate is $45. For this one-time fee, you would be able to Park Hop for the entire duration of your trip. For my family, that's a small price to pay for the added flexibility the Park Hopper gives to our vacation.
