Hiya Mike!
Welcome! And thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Your plan sounds like so much fun, especially because
EPCOT is my favorite Them Park and my family adores
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You’re going to love eating around the World Showcase at EPCOT and exploring Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Mike, let’s discuss your options! You can upgrade your tickets at any time, but the
Park Hopper Option upgrade charge will apply to the entire ticket; even the days that you have already used. You will not need a Disney Park Pass reservation for the second Theme Park, as long as it is available. Park Hopping to a specific Theme Park is not guaranteed, it would be based on availability.
Before I get to the topic of canceling and rebooking a new Disney Park Pass reservation, I really would suggest you look at the
Theme Park Availability Calendar. Theme Park reservations have been quite popular during the week you plan on coming and I wouldn't want you to cancel a Disney Park Pass reservation without checking for availability first. In order to modify your Disney Park Pass reservations, you would need to cancel the first, and after that reserve a new Theme Park for the desired day based on availability.
Once you've entered your first Theme Park and after 2 p.m. want to know if whether the Theme Park of your choice is available to park hop to, you can go to your
My Disney Experience Mobile App, scroll down to the Park Hours and click on “All Hours.” This will show you the park hours for all the Theme Parks, along with “Park Hopper Hours.” If the Theme Park is at capacity during your attempt to park hop, the Park Hopper Hours will not be displayed. I have been checking daily during Spring Break for research purposes and am happy to report that although Disney Park Pass reservations may be unavailable, all four Theme Parks have been open to park hop each day.
I hope you have the most enchanting time, Mike!
Aena
