I will be visiting the park for the first time this summer with my 5,7 and 10 year old boys (and husband). Will they enjoy the dinning at the Cinderella palace, or should I just skip it? I don't mind not going myself, I want it to be fun for them.

    Ruth,

I do find that dining at Cinderella's Royal Table can be fun for boys, knowing that so many get to tag along with sisters who are in the midst of their princess dreams. My daughters (5 and 7) were jealous enough of the boys that they asked to swap in their dinner gifts of magic wands for swords.

But you are going with boys. I have two thoughts here.

    No
This will not be an ideal experience for them, from a dining perspective. The entertainment is most decidedly not focused on their age and gender, and they probably won't get too into the fun of it all. As this is a fairly pricey meal, it might be something you do solo, or with your husband while they do something else.

    Yes
How about they take one for the team, so to speak, and do this for mom? I am guessing you have earned it, and why should you have to miss out on one of your dreams?

    BOTTOM LINE
I would offer this advice.  EVERYONE'S dreams get fulfilled at Walt Disney World, and that includes you. They should go with you and let you have your fun, just as you surely have let them have their fun. But if you are still feeling odd about it, try to get them into one of the Child Activity Centers (yes, they can be fun, even for the 10 year old), and then go with your husband. My wife and I use these centers, and the kids ask to go back to them every year, and we trust them completely.

Remember, as we say in my family, It is a fun vacation for everyone!

    Have a magical vacation!
