We will only be visiting for one day. We will be taking our 2 yr old to Magic Kingdom. We have a reservation at Chef Mickey's, as we think she would really enjoy the characters. We hadn't realized it's not in the park. Would you suggest still going?

    Greetings Autumn!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! Character dining is a great way to meet the characters without standing in line. Chef Mickey's, located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, has always been one of our family favorites. Although Chef Mickey's is not located inside Magic Kingdom Park, I think it would be very easy to incorporate a character meal into your park day. Disney's Contemporary Resort is within walking distance of Magic Kingdom Park. I also enjoy traveling between the two locations via monorail. I would allow approximately 10-15 minutes travel time between Disney's Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom Park.

I have taken all four of my children to Chef Mickey's when they were toddlers. I personally believe your daughter will love the festive atmosphere and fun character interaction she will encounter at this dining location.

I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please feel free to visit us again with any additional vacation planning questions that you may have!
