As you know, currently, our friends in the United Kingdom will need to wait until they have arrived in the United States to use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to purchase and book experiences through
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. While this may not be the news you want to hear, there are a few things to keep in mind so you can be the most successful. Firstly, it's important to note that you do not need to wait until you've arrived at the
Walt Disney World Resort to do this. Instead, it can be done once you've landed (presuming you're within your eligibility window). So once you're able, you can book for the length of your ticket (up to 14 days). For the best chances of getting the most in-demand attractions, I would recommend that you aim to book them later on in your trip. Plus, you can modify your reservations if other Guests change their reservations and something you prefer pops up as a result. You may be pleasantly surprised!
It's also good to know that currently, for each Lightning Lane you redeem on the day of your visit with
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can book another one (subject to availability). My friend
Nimmy T. just used this system for the first time, and while she was able to book 3 attractions ahead of time, on the day of her visit, she was also able to book 6 more attractions using this current use one and make another policy. What was she able to book in addition to her initial 3 experiences? Well,
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, "
it's a small world,"
Peter Pan's Flight,
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad,
Pirates of the Caribbean, and
Haunted Mansion! Not too shabby! And while I can't guarantee that you'll be able to book all of these experiences or the same amount of experiences on the day of
your visit, it shows you just how much she was able to get done with the service in addition to her initial 3 reservations! In other words, don't lose hope.
And remember, with this new service, you can see which initial 3 experiences you are booking before you pay for it. So that means if you don't like what's available, you can decide you'll simply use standby queues and
Virtual Queues (where offered) instead. The power is in your hands!
