Hi, we are visiting on 24 October. We last came to WDW in November 2012 and we bought the Photopass in advance of our trip. I am trying to do the same in readiness for this trip but I'm confused! Is memory maker the same as the Photopass?

    Hello Hannah,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner!  I'm sure you'll want to capture every possible magical memory that you can during the trip and Memory Maker is the perfect way to do that.  I've been able to use it myself a few times this year and can't imagine visiting without it now.

You're correct that PhotoPass+ is no longer available - Memory Maker has replaced that service, and it has some fantastic enhancements that I think you'll love.  The main difference is that Memory Maker is completely digital, so you don't need to wait for the photo CD that was part of PhotoPass+.  Every single photo that's added to your account is yours to view, share, edit, download and print as many times as you'd like (those remain on your account for 45 days from the date the photo was taken)...and there's no limit to the number of photos you can add within the 30-day window.  That includes photos at select dining locations, on participating attractions and at hundreds of other spots in and around the parks.  For a little extra pixie dust, try asking one of the Disney PhotoPass photographers for a "magic shot" during your trip.  It's fun to see what (or who!) magically appears in your photo once it shows up online.

I hope that helps, but if you have any other questions about Memory Maker (or anything else), please write back.

    Wishing you a picture-perfect vacation!

    Beth
