We're visiting in November and plan to attend VMCP on 11/20. Calendar says park closes at 7 that night. Does the VMCP take place after the park closes? How much longer will it stay open for Parade? Can you use Dining Plan credits for VMCP?

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party does take place after the Magic Kingdom closes to the general public. It will run from 7:00 until midnight. The entire Moms Panel was lucky enough to attend MVMCP during our training trip at the end of 2007. It was a great time!

After 7:00, non-party guests will be asked to leave and only people with special party wristbands (you get these with your party ticket when you enter the park) will be able to go on any rides or partake of the other attractions. A limited number of tickets to the party will be sold each night, keeping the lines for the rides quite manageable.

The exact schedule for the parades/shows during the party have not yet been released. But there will be a special holiday parade and holiday fireworks show that happen during the party.

You can use your Disney Dining Plan credits to pay for meals you may eat during the party, but the Dining Plan cannot be used to purchase tickets to actually get into the party.

Hope you have a wonderful visit to WDW.
