Hello! We will be visiting in Nov for our sons 1st birthday. Im debating ruling out the stroller and just using our baby carrier. Would he be able to stay strapped to us in the carrier for rides? Also, what are some special ways tlwe can celebrate?

    Dear Britney,

Thanks for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your terrific question about planning for your little guy's 1st birthday! What a magical time to spend at the most magical place on earth!

The idea for bringing only the baby carrier is a good one in terms of saving yourself from dragging a stroller, but honestly between the heat and the long distance walking, I was always glad to have a stroller with me so that I could transfer my kids there for a break for my back, and a change of position for them. I also loved having a stroller so that I could leave (not valuable) items there while we were on attractions.

There are many attractions that you can ride with your son in the carrier for sure, such as Peter Pan's Flight or The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, just for starters!

As for super magical ways to celebrate his first birthday, I recommend a birthday button that you can put on his stroller or on the carrier first! Then, perhaps you want to celebrate Baby's First Haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop, or a special character meal at the Crystal Palace. Another idea is to visit several characters and ask them if you can video them wishing him a happy 1st birthday! That's a keepsake that he will have forever!

    Have a terrific time!
