Hi Moms! Visiting in Nov (Sat before Thx until the day after Thx) staying @ Contemporary- just wondering about weather, crowds, and is the pool at the Contemporary heated? Also, will everything be decorated for Xmas by then? Thanks a bunch!

    Hi Kelli,

I've visited Walt Disney World several times for Thanksgiving. You'll find that the parks have moderate crowd levels until the day before Thanksgiving, and then from Wednesday until the Sunday after Thanksgiving the crowds will be very heavy. This is a time of the year when you should be sure to make your meal reservations in advance. When I travel to WDW during the holidays, I also try to reserve other activities such as tours or spa treatments, really anything that I can to keep me from waiting in line.

The weather is usually moderate at Thanksgiving at that time I've usually worn jeans and a sweatshirt in the morning and take off a layer so I'm wearing a tee in the afternoon. You'll want to check the exact forecast for this year a day or two before your departure.

All the WDW pools are heated year round and you will ALWAYS find people swimming, no matter what the temperature.

The holiday decorations will be completely hung at the time of your visit. Be sure to stop in the Grand Floridian and see the giant gingerbread house.

    Have a great trip!
