Kristen,
Thanks for your questions!
These are common questions, so you are in good company. First, let's consider how you determine if a restaurant charges quick service or table service credits.
When you go to the initial Disney Dining page that lists all the restaurants (
linked here), you can determine if a restaurant is either a
Table Service or
Quick Service restaurant in the
Disney Dining Plan program. You will find this information in the given row for any particular restaurant, roughly in the middle of the listing to the right of the restaurant name, cost estimate and location.
To then determine how many credits are required, per meal, here are the simple steps to follow;
- Go to the restaurant's page, like the one listed her for the Be Our Guest Restaurant
- To the right of the photograph, you will see a check mark with the words "Some Dining Plans Accepted".
- When you click on that it will open up a window that shows you how many credits, by meal and by plan, that you will need to 'spend'.
- If you proceed through the reservation process, you will see a similar "Some Dining Plans Accepted" link in the upper right of the "Confirm your Reservation" page. Click on that and it very specifically spells out what credits are needed, by plan.
I chose that restaurant example because in a few rare instances, like at the Be Our Guest Restaurant, a restaurant will be a Quick Service destination at one meal and a Table Service meal at another. That is where the combination of the information from the first set of instructions paired with the second set of steps will combine to give you the answers that you seek.
But if any particular restaurants still leave you unsure about what the charge might be, write us back and let us help you out. Just let us know what restaurant and what meal, and we can get you more specific information. Of course we are always glad to help out with dining recommendations as well, so ask away!
Have a Magical (and delicious) Vacation!Doug
