Hi there, Kelly! I get all excited when I hear people are new
Disney Vacation Club members. I remember our early days as new members, and it was awesome to hear those words "Welcome home" for the first time.
There are a few options I think your son might want to check out in terms of special tours or experiences. I highly recommend the
Dine with an Imagineer experience. This is a dining experience that is limited to a very small number of guests, but you will have the opportunity to listen to and talk to one of the creative minds behind some of
Walt Disney World's greatest accomplishments. Now, not every imagineer is an artist, but they are all interesting and unique people with great stories and incredible insights.
Check out the front desk of
Disney's Art of Animation Resort during your stay. They offer animation classes that are about 30 minutes long at various times throughout the day. It might be a great opportunity for your son to get some tips and create something of his own. It's for all ages, but I know my almost 14 year old budding young artist loves to join the classes.
I also love the
Keys to the Kingdom tour. I think it helps to see some behind the scenes stuff and find out what the most inspired parts of Walt Disney World are. Everything that you see when you are at Walt Disney World is done with such creativity, a young artist may find out what a real calling to an artistic life is.
Have an awesome time with your son!
Anna
