    Hello. We are visiting this month & are not purchasing the dining plan this time. We still have our mugs from April of this year. Can we bring these mugs & have them reactivated to use during our stay at a reduced price? Thank you.

    Hi Melissa!

    Congratulations on your upcoming vacation.   Have you started a countdown yet?   I am visiting Walt Disney World in a few weeks and I can't contain my excitement.   I hope you have a fabulous vacation filled with magical memories.

    You certainly can bring your refillable mug to reuse as long as it's the Disney Rapid Fill Mug with the RFID chip in the bottom.   Since your last trip was in April, I am sure your mug is equipped with the RFID chip.   The mug will be able to be reactivated as long as your chip is still working.   I have discovered that heating the mug in a microwave or running it through a dishwasher will cause the chip to not function any longer.  If you haven't done this you are welcome to inquire about how much it would cost to refill.   I have not seen any posted signs at the Resorts offering a discount for reuse, but it doesn't  hurt to ask.   I always like to purchase a new mug during each visit because they make great souvenirs.  I drink my coffee every day from past Disney Rapid Fill Mugs, it adds a little touch of Disney to my morning.
