Visiting MK 6/15-6/16 for the 1st time with DH and 4year DD and her BFF. Due to high cost of food, packing snacks until we can get back to our off site resort for nap. Do you suggest sandwiches or simple snacks? Will bags restrict us on the rides?

Hi, Robin!  I don't usually take sandwiches and things into the parks with me for a couple of reasons.  You are pretty restricted by the weather as to what type of sandwiches you can pack.  It can't be anything that will spoil being out in very hot temperatures.  Then when you find something that you can take with you (peanut butter and jelly), my kids won't eat it because the sandwiches sometimes feel mushy after being in the hot plastic baggies all day long.

I usually take things like granola bars, almonds, raisins, crackers (the kind with peanut butter or cheese on them are pretty good in place of a real sandwich), and juice boxes or pouches.  I keep a backpack with me, and have not had any difficulty in taking the bag with me on rides.  You will be subject to a bag search when you go into the park, but with the rides, I either put it at my feet or on the seat next to me.

    Have a wonderful time!
