Hey there, Elizabeth!
Welcome to planDisney and "Boo to You!" I'm thrilled to hear you have an upcoming visit planned and will experience all the fun of
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. My family attended for the first time last year and I can't wait to return this October for more delightfully spooky fun! I just know you'll have a wonderful time.
It's a smart idea to plan some mid-day downtime before the party. Last year we made the mistake of driving down from our home in North Carolina
very early on the morning of our party day and were dragging like happy haunts toward the end of the evening. Luckily the unlimited trick-or-treating and specialty snacks we purchased during the party kept us going and ensured we didn't all turn into pumpkins at the stroke of midnight. Speaking of snacks, be sure to check out this
Disney Eats: Foodie Guide so you'll know just where to find your next treat during the event. I already have my eye on the Apple Fritter Milkshake.
Your Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets allow guests to enter
Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 p.m. though the event doesn't officially kick off until 7 p.m. Most attendees are eager to get started on the frightful fun as soon as possible and I've seen lines begin to form outside of the Magic Kingdom Park around 3 p.m. Party guests will enter via designated lines, but once the clock strikes 4 p.m. and the initial rush gets their event wristbands, the lines begin to thin. Knowing that costumes and the hot Florida sunshine can make for an uncomfortable wait, we opted to take the
Resort Monorail over from
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort around 4:25 p.m. last year and only waited a few minutes to enter.
Since you'll already have standard tickets that day you also have the option to re-enter Magic Kingdom Park through the regular queues before the event begins. Last year there were a few locations to pick up party wristbands within Magic Kingdom Park beginning at 4 p.m. Locations are subject to change, so I'd recommend checking with a Cast Member before leaving for your afternoon break.
I hope this was helpful Elizabeth. Be sure to
review our best tips for costumes as you're making your final preparations and hurry back if we can answer any other questions. I'm wishing you a most magical trip.
It's really not-so-scary!
