We are visiting the MK on 5/14/10 and don't want to miss the 3 pm parade. We're considering making an ADR at the Crystal Palace and the only available lunch times are 2:15 pm and 3:25 pm. Do you think either of these will work?

    Hi Billynda,

How exciting to be counting down the last few days before your first Disney World vacation! I am sure you are so excited!!

We love Crystal Palace, it is one of our must do restaurants on every Disney vacation. Enjoying the afternoon parade is a perfect idea but I would definitely choose the 3:25 seating time if you hope to enjoy the parade. The table service meals take on average 75-90 minutes and you will want to allow plenty of time to enjoy the meal and Disney characters without feeling a need to rush off to the parade.

Crystal Palace is located just off of Main Street next to the Baby Care Center. It is just a few steps from the parade route to the restaurant. I would plan on grabbing a viewing spot right near the Tip Board or Casey's (make sure you are on the left side of Main Street as you face Cinderella Castle) and wait for the parade. While you may not be able to see all of the parade, you should be able to catch part of it before you have to check in for your reservation. You can then either have one adult wait near the restaurant and call the other on the cell phone when your table is ready, or you can all enjoy a glimpse of the remainder of the parade from Crystal Palace's porch.

If this does not work and you prefer to watch the parade in its entirety, consider trying to make a reservation for a different day, or later that evening. Good luck!
