We are visiting in mid-April and are meeting friends. My friend needs gluten free options outside of the theme parks. Where can gluten free options be found at Disney Springs?

    Hi Kayla,

Disney Springs offers a variety of dining options, including many restaurants that cater to gluten-free dietary needs. It is important to note that many of the restaurants located in Disney Springs are not owned by the Walt Disney World Resort, and therefore the clarity of their menus may vary. However, Disney Springs does strive to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions. One thing that I highly recommend is at any restaurant that your friend visits, they should let the server know about the allergy/intolerance immediately so that they can help find the best options. It is also important to note that many restaurants may have gluten-free options, however, their kitchens may not be free of gluten so some cross-contamination may occur.

D-Luxe Burger is owned by the Walt Disney World resort and if you go into the My Disney Experience app, you can find their menu, scroll down, and look at the Allergy-Friendly options.

The Polite Pig is one of my favorite dining spots at Disney Springs. This modern barbecue restaurant offers a selection of smoked meats, salads, and sides. It is my understanding that much of the meat is gluten-free and they had a gluten-free bun the last time I dined there. Their staff is usually knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and can assist guests in choosing suitable options, but again, always make sure to double-check at the time of your meal which items are considered gluten-free.

Another great choice is Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, where guests can create their own custom pizzas with gluten-free crust and a variety of gluten-free toppings. The staff at Blaze is trained to handle gluten-free orders as safely as possible to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.

For a more upscale dining experience, consider dining at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'. This restaurant serves up Southern-inspired cuisine, and many of its dishes can be modified to be gluten-free upon request. However, according to their menu, the kitchen itself isn’t free of gluten and thus cross-contact of gluten-free items with other food items that contain gluten is often possible.

Additionally, many other dining establishments at Disney Springs, such as Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, offer gluten-free menu items or can make modifications to accommodate dietary restrictions. I hope your friend finds plenty of tasty gluten-free plates that will make them want to come back for more!
