Hi Andy!
We love staying at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort. There is something so nostalgic about this Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Whether it’s the smell of those yummy Mickey waffles in the morning, or walking outside to the
Hippy Dippy Pool, this hotel feels like home to us.
While I’ve never stayed at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, I have taken the time to explore those beautifully animated walls and check out
Landscape of Flavors – a delicious dining option.
Not only do these Resort hotels offer fun, charm, and a bit of nostalgia, but they of course offer the
Disney Skyliner Transportation, which for my family is the biggest perk to staying at one of these amazing places. With its vibrant colors and charming design, the Disney Skyliner isn't just a mode of transportation—it's a ride fit for royalty, pirates, and adventurers alike!
As you know, the Disney Skyliner transportation system at the Walt Disney World Resort, including the hub at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, provides wheelchair accessibility. It has been my experience that if the line is long (think Theme Park opening and Theme Park closing time) you would wait in the general line and then be directed to a separate line or loading area for guests requiring wheelchair accessibility or other mobility assistance devices. If the line is without a wait, you would likely be directed right into that separate loading area. This loading area is designed to accommodate guests with disabilities efficiently and comfortably. However, specific procedures or layouts can change, so it's always a good idea to confirm with the Cast Members working at any of the Disney Skyliner Transportation areas.
So, grab your Mickey ears and get ready to soar through the skies on an adventure that’s sure to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust onto your Disney vacation!
