Utplevarna,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Yes, you are certainly able to enjoy walking the grounds of
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. On our last few trips, we have made it a regular stop on one of our no-theme park days. One parent, along with our oldest teen who aspires to become a veterinarian, have headed over to both
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House (which is the original section of the resort) to enjoy the wonderful resort theme and decor, observe the animals in their savannahs, and also to grab lunch at one of the resort restaurants.
The easiest way to get to the hotel, especially if you don't have a car and a meal reservation, is to take the Disney Resort Transportation
bus. If you are heading over from the Magic Kingdom Park, that is easily done. If you are at another resort hotel you can catch a bus from Disney Springs.
BONUS TIP #1Sanaa, located in the Kidani Village section of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, is of my top 10 places to eat in all of Walt Disney World. The naan bread sampler alone is worth the visit.
BONUS TIP #2You can walk between the two parts of the Animal Kingdom resort, but I recommend just grabbing a bus. The bus that delivers you to the resort makes stops at both parts before heading off to its next destination.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
