Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christi!
While you don’t necessarily need a
Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park ticket to ride the new
Disney Skyliner system, as an off-site Guest it may be difficult for you to get to one of the Skyliner stations. To access one of the stations, you’ll need to be outside
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, at the International Gateway entrance to
Epcot or at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels on the Skyliner path (including
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort,
Disney’s Pop Century Resort and
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or the soon-to-open
Disney’s Riviera Resort, as well as those in the Epcot resort area). To access these stations you would need a hotel or dining reservation to enter the parking lot. For the station outside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you would need to pay for Theme Park parking.
I do hope you get to enjoy the new Skyliner system during your upcoming visit, though. I was able to ride it during my visit a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you’re looking for something fun and free to do on your departure day, I would highly recommend spending some time at
Disney Springs. There’s so much shopping, dining and entertainment available there that you could easily spend an entire day! If you go, you definitely need to check out the new cookie dough food truck--it’s amazing.
Please let us know if we can answer any other questions or offer any other suggestions for you, Christi! We’re always happy to help.
