Hi, I will be visiting the Magic Kingdom in Feb. 2010 for my daughter's birthday. I am looking for character dining or lunch in the MK that is reasonable in price. My daughter is turning 5 and my son is 2. I hear that the Crystal Palace is closed. Thanks.

You are correct that the Crystal Palace is currently undergoing refurbishment. It is currently scheduled to reopen on February 14, 2010. While the Crystal Palace is closed, the Liberty Tree Tavern will be hosting a character meal featuring Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip and Dale (characters subject to change). The Liberty Tree is priced similarly to the Crystal Palace.

The other character meal option in the Magic Kingdom is Cinderella's Royal Table. This is significantly more expensive than the other MK choices.

You may also want to consider character meals just outside the Magic Kingdom. These include:

    - 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian (breakfast and dinner)
    - Ohana at the Polynesian (breakfast)
    - Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary (breakfast and dinner)

These are all similarly priced and are easy to get to from the MK using the monorail system.

Good luck with your planning and have a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation!
