Hi. We are visiting the Magic Kingdom either Nov 7 or 8 of this year. We would not attendMagic Kingdom‘s very merry Christmas party. Will the park be more busy than normal 9-6pm on the 8th because of the Christmas party? Thank you.

    Hi Friend,

Welcome to planDisney! November is such a magical time to visit Disney World because the holiday festivities are just beginning and it helps to set the mood for the upcoming holiday season. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is the event of the season for lots of guests, so people come from far and wide to kick off the season as only Magic Kingdom can!

I would normally say that Magic Kingdom is a little less busy than normal if you go early in the day when there is an evening party but the date you mention would be an exception to this rule. November 8th is the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the year so I would expect the theme park to be extra busy on this day with people wanting to be the first to experience all of the new offerings and the nostalgic festivities that they have come to know and love.

If you are choosing between spending a day at Magic Kingdom on November 7th or 8th, I would lean towards November 7th. Not only will the crowds likely be a little lighter, but you will have a lot more time to make it to all of your must-do rides. Magic Kingdom is the theme park that typically takes us the most time to ride our favorites because there are so many epic attractions here that you need a whole day to enjoy as many of them as possible.

If you are worried about maximizing your time at the theme parks, a great way to cut down your wait times is to purchase Lightning Lane passes. We used this on our most recent trip, and it was super helpful! I love that Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows you to prioritize 3 of your must-do attractions before your visit and secure arrival windows for them before you ever step foot in the theme park. All of this is done right in your My Disney Experience app. You can plan rides around any advanced dining reservations you have or ensure that you have time slots that fit your park style, whether you are an early riser or a night owl!

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
