    Visiting in June w/ 5 & 8 yr old kids. This is their 4th trip & they're looking forward to enjoying the pools & resort more this trip. We've narrowed resorts down to the French Quarter or the Wilderness Lodge. Which would you suggest?

    Congratulations on your fourth Walt Disney World Vacation, Jennifer!  As frequent Disney vacationers, my family enjoys experiencing everything outside of the theme parks as much as inside the parks!  When we vacation in the warmer months, we definitely take into consideration the pool when choosing a Walt Disney World Resort since my children love to swim on our vacations.  I would definitely recommend Disney's Wilderness Lodge for your next vacation!  My family vacationed at this Disney Deluxe Hotel in December and fell in love with the recreational activities and theming inspired by the Great American Northwest National Park lodges from the turn of the 20th century. In fact, my children requested to stay at this beautiful resort on our upcoming vacation this month. With young children, you will also enjoy being able to travel to Magic Kingdom Park via the motor launch (water taxi); whereas, at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort, you will need to travel to all theme parks via the Disney buses if utilizing Disney's complimentary transportation. My favorite recreational activities offered at Disney's Wilderness Lodge include Chip'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long, Movies Under the Stars, The Silver Creek Springs pool, and catch and release fishing. I hope this information helps in making your decision. Although both resorts are great, I would personally prefer the atmosphere and recreational offerings at Disney's Wilderness Lodge since you are anticipating spending more time at the pools and your Disney Resort on your upcoming vacation.  Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions.
