We will be visiting in June for our FIRST DISNEY VACATION! We will have our car, but is it easier to take DW buses etc? If yes, is there a place that I can view the schedules? I don't want to spend a lot of time "in route" thanks.

    Hi Lucretia,

How awesome to be planning your first Disney World vacation! It will be so much more magical and amazing then you can even imagine!

Ok so we are a Disney transportation family all the way. Even on the rare occasion when we have our car with us, we choose to park it at the resort and forget about it. We love the ease and convenience of the Disney transportation system. It is wonderful to not have to worry about directions or parking or even where we left the car after returning from a long day at the park.

The various modes of Disney transportation include buses, boats, and monorails and are often as much fun as they are convenient. My kids love taking the boat or monorail for an added bonus to our Disney adventure. The transportation options differ depending on which Disney resort you are staying at, however there are easily located stops at each resort and the Cast Members will be happy to direct you to the best option for your travel needs. The Disney option will pick you up from a stop near your hotel entrance and drop you off nearby the park gates. This means less walking thru the parking lots. Yahoo!

There is no specific schedule posted for transportation times, as the times do change depending on crowds, time of day and other factors. I can tell you that the Disney buses, boats and monorails typically begin to run around one hour prior to the opening of the park it is headed to, and approximately an hour after the park closes. The transportation vehicles run around every twenty minutes although we have many times waited far less time than that. The Cast Members are always happy to discuss any concerns or questions you have, so be sure to ask.

I think you will love the ability to leave the driving to someone else, so park the car at the resort and relax. They will take great care of you!
