We are visiting in June with my daughters ages 5 and 8. My husband and I have been buying Disney Gift Cards to use for spending money at the parks. With the magic bands can I use the magic band and then pay off my "balance" with the gift cards?

Hi Amy! Thanks for the great question! We often use gift cards as well. I usually do it in one of two ways. I either bring the cards with me and use them for purchases instead of using my MagicBand, or, charge to my MagicBand and settle up before check out. If you opt to charge your purchases to your MagicBand, then I recommend visiting your resort front desk sporadically and paying with your gift cards, and then about 24 hours before your checkout day to settle up your bill using your gift cards, thus avoiding credit card charges.

Write us back with any other questions Amy!
