Hello! Visiting in July..Wondering what is the best way to get from POR to FW for HDD and horseback riding. How much time should we allow? Thank you for all the great advice! Love this panel!

Hi Christopher! My daughter and I went horseback riding at the Fort Wilderness last year and we absolutely loved it! The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is so much fun that my family's going back for a repeat visit this weekend. You've picked two great activities!

To reach the Fort Wilderness from the Port Orleans Riverside, you have a few options. A cab could deliver you to the main entrance area where the horses are in about 10 minutes, which is quicker than taking a bus to a park like Epcot and then taking a bus to the Fort, which could take an hour. If you were heading to the Hoop-Dee-Doo, taking a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then taking the boat to the Fort would be the best route, since the Revue is a short walk from the boat dock. (This trip would take 45 minutes to an hour depending on how long you have to wait for the bus and the boat.) If you're riding horses and then heading to the Revue, you'll need to catch an internal bus to the area of the Fort where the Hoop-Dee-Doo takes place, but the ride is fairly short.
