Visiting in July with twin DD (4) and know that breaks will be needed. What about AK? We plan to be there at rope drop but is it feasible to go back to our resort (POFQ) and return later with it closing earlier than any other park? Thanks so much!

Hi Jennifer. Thanks for the question! Naps are so important for a happy vacation!! It takes approximately 25 minutes to get from Port Orleans French Quarter to/ from the Animal Kingdom. I would definitely take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, which are available for guests of Disney resorts. Click here for the Animal Kingdom schedule for July 2010. For July, typically the park is open an hour earlier Wednesday and Saturdays, and three hours later on Mondays.  You certainly have the right idea by getting to the park at opening, and taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours should give you the time you need to include a much needed rest!

    Have a magical vacation Jennifer!
