We are visiting in July with a 7 month old baby. We know it will obviously be very hot, but what are the pool and water temperatures like in the water parks? I am not sure what kind of swimsuit will be best to buy for her. Thanks!!

Hi there, Catherine! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for reaching out and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Summer can be a great time to visit Walt Disney World Resort! Many school-aged children will no longer need to attend school and will be free to have fun on a family vacation. Why not take the time to get away and create a collection of memories that will last a lifetime?

I do also suggest planning a bit more when visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the hotter months. The sun can be quite intense during this period of time and the weather can be unpredictable at times. This means packing a wide variety of clothing that can withstand multiple types of weather!

Cooling off in the pool or at one of Walt Disney World Resort’s two water parks is a fun time but be sure to keep the weather in mind when planning your aquatic activities! Pools at Walt Disney World Resort are heated to 82 degrees Fahrenheit year round but the summer sun will likely heat them up a bit more than this. Regardless of the heat of the pools, I would recommend looking for swimsuits that offer coverage and sun protection for your little one. Covering up may not seem like the best idea in the Florida heat but more coverage means fewer areas on your child that may potentially get sunburnt!

I hope this information helps you as you continue to plan for your upcoming vacation!
