We are visiting in January with our 1 year old and 2 year old who will be turning 3 a week after our trip. If we go to one of the buffet style restaurants like for character dining is there a fee for the kids? Would they get a regular seat?

    Hi Heather,

Children under the age of three can eat for free at Walt Disney World's buffet-style restaurants. They will be seated with their family in either a high chair or a regular chair, depending on what the family requests. There were many times that I went to WDW buffets with my twins when they were younger than three years old. We were never charged for either of them.

When making your meal reservations, be sure to make them for four people, since you will need to have an appropriate sized table.

If you're dining at a quick service or menu-based restaurant, your kids and eat from your plate at no charge, but if you want them to have food of their own, you will have to pay for it.

Buffets can be a big money saver for families with multiple toddlers or babies.

Have a great time at WDW!
