We will be visiting 12/21/09 - 1/1/10. The grandkids like Typhoon Lagoon better than Blizzard Beach, but the only day it will be open is 1/1/10. What it the typical temperature the end of December and very early January - maybe won't get to TL....

Hey Andrea!  Great question.  The average highs in December and January are around 72 degrees, with the lows being around 51/52 degrees.  For me personally, it's a little chilly at that time of the year for the water parks, but there are plenty of people that will go.  And you just never know, as Orlando is not immune to having a cold snap here and there.  If it is not a must do, I personally would stick with the theme parks during this time of year.
Hope this helps with the decision and I hope you all have the most magical vacation in December!
