While visiting friends that are staying at the campground in an RV, are we allowed to park OUR car next to them?

Hey there, Maureen!  It is nice to see you back at planDisney with another great question.

I love spending time at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  Although close by, it feels like a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.  As part of the original Vacation Kingdom of the World, being there brings back great memories of my very first visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

Camp and RV sites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort allow complimentary parking for 1 vehicle at each site.  Parking along the roadways is not permitted.  If you'll be visiting friends, park at the Outpost parking area located near the entrance to Fort Wilderness, and then hop on a bus to the stop closest to your friends' campsite.  Many Fort Wilderness Guests bring or rent golf carts, so perhaps your friends will be able to pick you up from the parking area.

Another option would be to arrive at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort using complimentary resort transportation.  Check with your friends to see where their campsite is located.  They might be able to advise you if bus or water transportation would be more convenient.

Enjoy spending time at "The Fort" with your friends!  Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions you may have.
